A sauna runs on two numbers, and most rooms only show you one.

Temperature you can guess at at from how the room feels. Humidity you cannot, and it is the one that decides whether the heat sits on your skin or sinks into you. Two gauges side by side in a single wooden frame let you read both from the bench without getting up.

The left dial reads temperature on two scales at once, Fahrenheit around the outside and Celsius inside it, from 40 to 240 °F and 0 to 120 °C. The right dial reads relative humidity from 0 to 100 percent. Both are analog, so there is nothing to power, nothing to pair and nothing to fail in the heat.

The frame is a single board, twice as wide as it is tall, with the corners cut back at an angle and the two gauges set into round recesses so their rims sit flush with the face. It hangs from a keyhole slot cut into the back, which takes one screw and nothing else.

Hang it at head height where you sit, not up in the peak. The air at the ceiling is not the air you are sitting in.
