The panel works either way up. The numerals on the upper half are printed inverted, so whichever end is on top, the scale beside the running tube reads right side up. It is a quiet piece of design thinking, and you notice it about the third time you use it.
Thirteen inches tall and barely two and a half wide, it hangs flat on a wall or stands on a bench. The matte black stain reads sharp against cedar and keeps the sand and the numerals easy to find in low light.
