A slender cedar handle, turned round and left bare, so it stays cool enough to hold and dry enough to grip. A thin stainless shaft. And a scoop folded from sheet steel into flat angular planes, so the leading edge cuts the surface and the body fills in one motion.
The facets are not decoration. Flat panels stiffen thin steel far better than a smooth curve, which is why the scoop can stay light without feeling flimsy. The flat foot lets it stand on the bench instead of rolling off it.
Bare wood and bare steel. Nothing on the handle but the grain.
